Thus, this makes LED much similar to LCD. The\nneed for backlighting makes LED screens larger in terms of thickness, although\nnot as much as LCDs. OLEDs are much slimmer because of the absence of\nbacklighting. The brightness of the backlighting can make the color black get\nblurred on the screen, in LEDs. The black color is much more vibrant on an OLED\nscreen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\nOLED screens, the viewers get a wider viewing angle; but in an LED screen, the\ncolors may not be very prominent when watched from an edge. Compared to OLEDs,\nLEDs have inferior picture quality. This is because OLED is able to offer\nlighter and thinner display than LED. An OLED screen is more advanced than LED\nin terms of energy usage. LED display requires to light up the entire screen,\nsince it uses backlit technology. On the other hand, an OLED screen lights up\nonly those portions of the screen that needs to be lit up. Thus, OLEDs are much\nmore energy efficient.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OLEDs\nare the newer technology in the market, and it is more expensive than LEDs. So,\nto get a mobile or other display device with OLED technology, you will have to\nshell out some extra bucks. However, the price is not a cause of concern if you\narrange for the right&nbsp;consumer durable loan.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mobile phones, phablets, tablets, televisions are all visual mediums and display is of great importance in these devices.
