The 15-second teaser on YouTube\nis eye-catching and highlights two of its key features \u2013 the first being the\n\u2018Raindrop\u2019 triple camera. It is arranged in a descending size order to depict a\nfalling raindrop. Each droplet is made up of a different luminous colour,\ndenoting the smartphone\u2019s second key feature \u2013 its four colours (aurora grey, aurora\ngreen, aurora white and illusion sunset). Not much is available in terms of key\nspecifications but an overlay of LG Velvet\u2019s features has been released and confirmed\nby the company itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Velvet\ndesign <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its digital unveiling on YouTube, one can see how\nthe suffix \u2018Velvet\u2019 compliments the luminous and glossy finish of LG Velvet.\nThe four variants showcase a sleek and slim designed smartphone with minimum\nbezels at the top and bottom and a waterdrop notch. Attributed to a 3D arc\ndesign, LG conveyed that premium smoothness and softness are the key\ncharacteristics of the smartphone\u2019s design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Raindrop\ncamera <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/lg-velvet-with-curved-design-1.jpeg\" alt=\"LG VELVET camera\" class=\"wp-image-9060\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tata-blog.osian.dev\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/lg-velvet-with-curved-design-1.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/tata-blog.osian.dev\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/lg-velvet-with-curved-design-1-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/tata-blog.osian.dev\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/lg-velvet-with-curved-design-1-768x432.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/tata-blog.osian.dev\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/lg-velvet-with-curved-design-1-770x433.jpeg 770w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>At the moment, it is confirmed that LG Velvet has a\nnew type of strikingly set triple rear cameras \u2013 as one can clearly see in the\nofficial teaser and the released images of the smartphone. Additionally, there\nis an LED flash at the top of the cameras. The megapixel sizes of the three\ncameras and allied inbuilt modes remain a mystery. You should experience the\nnewly upgraded \u2018Raindrop\u2019 camera of LG Velvet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualcomm Snapdragon\nprocessor <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of processor, the only veritable\ninformation available is that LG Velvet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon\n765 processor and has 5G connectivity. Considering that the end of the year is\npredicted to see several smartphone brands unveiling 5G variants, it was wise\nof LG to go a step ahead of its competitors and release LG Velvet on a global\nlevel. The smartphone is rumoured to hit markets sometime around mid-May (the\nofficial date for its release is somewhere around 7<sup>th<\/sup> May). The\nsmartphone is also rumoured to be IP68 certified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, LG users can expect to find out more about the smartphone\u2019s features in the coming weeks. Key details such as its camera specs, battery life, connectivity options and pricing shall surface soon too. Besides, LG has confirmed that LG Velvet is going to be a mid-range device, so purchasing it will not be such a hassle for its demographic.
