In December 2019, Chinese tech company Xiaomi had released the K30 5G\nseries. Now, adding to its lineup of smartphones is an upgraded variant known\nas the K30 5G Speed Edition. Stunning photos of the smartphone have been\nreleased on the website Weibo \u2013 showcasing icy blue, mint white, pink and\npurple colours. What\u2019s interesting is that K30 5G Speed Edition is supposedly\npowered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768 processor, which remains to be confirmed\nby Qualcomm.  However, a live stream\nevent to be held in China around May 14th<\/sup> will let users know more\nabout the smartphones features in detail. Here\u2019s what is known so far:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Display and design<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The teasers released on Weibo showcase K30 5G Speed Edition featuring a\n6.67-inch display with a dual punch hole at the front. This punch hole houses\nthe front camera. The display quality is full HD+ along with LCD and has a\nrefresh rate of 120 Hz. The smartphone has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and is\ntouted to have 4.25mm ultra narrow frames. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camera quality<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Considering the released camera specifications for the K30 5G Speed\nEdition, one can safely assume that the smartphone has a triple rear camera\nsetup. The primary camera has a 64MP lens, an 8MP wide angular lens and a 5MP\nmacro lens. The smartphone has two front cameras of 20MP, which is evident\nbecause of the twin punch holes. <\/strong>One can also safely assume that K30 5G\nSpeed Edition will be a part of the easily available phones on EMI upon its\nrelease. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connectivity options <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of connectivity, this is not the first time Redmi is venturing\ninto the 5G arena. However, since it is powered by the mysterious 768 chipset,\nK30 5G Speed Edition is touted to have enhanced performance levels. Until then users\ncan expect basic connectivity options like dual band 5G and WiFi, NFC and\nBluetooth support. The images in the teaser also show slots for a headphone\njack and a Type-C port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Processor and battery <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

K30 5G Speed Edition is rumoured to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768 octa core processor. This processor will be an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 765 chipset. The processor is paired with a RAM of 6GB and an internal storage capacity of 128GB. The smartphone is also rumoured to run on a 4500mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. These two features are yet to be ascertained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no confirmed date of the smartphone\u2019s official offline launch in China or around the globe. But JD.com (a Chinese e-commerce website) hints at its estimated price. The smartphone is priced around INR 21,419 which suggests that it aims its sale among the mid-range sector. No matter how affordable a phone is, it is always best to remain financially prepared for a purchase.
