Vivo took the smartphone industry by surprise when it unveiled another phone in its premium Nex series – Vivo Nex 2. Smartphone makers are continuously striving to offer something new to the customers. Apparently, Vivo is far ahead in this race. With Nex 1, Vivo came up with an innovative pop-up selfie camera, and now it got even crazier with Nex 2 offering a second screen on the rear panel. It is not the first time that we see a phone boasting dual screen, but Nex 2 is expected to be more refined. So, let’s find out what Nex 2 is all about.

Dual-Screen Design

Vivo Nex 2 is a gorgeous-looking, user-friendly phone, designed in a way that users can hold it comfortably. Another good thing about the phone is that all the buttons are on the sides, including the fingerprint scanner on the right – exactly where your thumb rests.

No bezels – all display

Vivo Nex 2 comes with two screens- a bezel-less full screen on the front and another smaller screen at the back. What about the placement of the selfie camera, you may ask? Well, just flip over the phone, turn on the camera and you can see your face on the screen.

Screen 1

Vivo Nex 2 screen 1 comes with a wide 6.39-inches display with full HD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. Moreover, the super AMOLED display produces a stunning colour contrast, whether you are playing games or watching videos.

Screen 2

This is the screen that people have been talking about. It flaunts a 5.50-inches AMOLED display housing the three rear cameras. Vivo Nex 2 allows you to switch between the two screens with just the press of a button.

Camera

Vivo Nex 2 has an incredible triple-layer camera setup. The primary one is a 12 megapixels Sony IMX sensor, alongside the 2 megapixels depth sensor and a TOF camera also called the 3D camera. The main camera uses IR technology which delivers clean photos. And, it has no separate selfie camera.

Performance

Vivo Nex 2 will be powered by snapdragon 845 processor paired with a whopping 10 GB RAM. Additionally, the Adreno 630 graphics processor can handle many intensive apps and games with ease. Sadly, there is no microSD slot for storage expansion, but with 128 GB of internal storage, you will barely need one.

Battery

Vivo Nex 2 comes with a fairly decent battery capacity of 3,500 mAh. Talking about longevity, the phone should last for one full day with moderate use before needing a fast charge.

Price and release date

As of now, Vivo Nex 2 is only available in China, but we expect the phone to arrive in India on 17 October 2019. Also, it is expected to be priced at Rs 52,080 approximately.
