The Huawei sub-brand, Honor has recently unveiled two smartphones in China- Honor 20s and Honor Play3. The former is a mid-range smartphone while the latter is an entry-level smartphone. Honor 20s has made big progress in terms of camera with a few compromises on the chipset. Surprisingly, it will be launched at a lower price than Honor 20. Honor 20s has everything that it takes to be a flagship phone- widescreen, a powerful camera, and a big battery. Is this the phone to rule all hearts in 2019? Read on to know more.

Design

Honor 20s is as mesmerizing as its predecessor Honor 20. It uses glass for the front and back with a metal frame on the sides. The curvy edges help with the grip of the phone. Honor 2.0 is a big device but weighs only 172 grams that makes it easy to use and handle with one hand. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the right side of the phone.

Display

Honor 20s’ front panel comes with IPS LCD panel that measures 6.26 inches. The LCD looks sharp, however, there are several customization options available to fix that. The 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution with a punch-hole design offers the user an unmatched clarity.

Performance

As for the performance, Honor 20s is powered by a Kirin 810 chipset instead of the Kirin 980 used in Honor 20. The basic model might come with 6 GB of RAM while the higher model will have 8 GB of RAM. Additionally, the phone offers 128 GB of inbuilt storage but there is no support for memory expansion via a microSD slot. The phone does not heat much, thanks to the advanced cooling system. The phone runs on Magic UI 2.1 on top of the Android 9.0.

Camera

Honor 20s has a stunning camera. a has the most versatile camera in the price segment. In total, there are three cameras on the back. Just like Honor 20, the 20s also uses Sony IMX 586 48MP as a primary sensor. Besides the 48MP sensor, there is an 8 megapixels ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixels dedicated macro camera. The primary camera takes great photos with stunning colour quality in daylight. It also has a 32-megapixels front camera hidden inside the punch hole of the screen.

Battery

The Honor 20s smartphone has a large battery of 3750 mAh, having an endurance rating of 104 hours. The phone offers 20W fast charging, which means you will be able to charge from zero to fifty percent in just thirty minutes and a full charge in ninety minutes.

Price and Release Date

Honor 20s is surely worthy of your attention. The phone is already available for sale in China for 1,899 CNY which roughly translates to Rs 19,000 in India. Honor 20s is expected to launch in India on 31, October 2019.
