It was Xiaomi who introduced the first truly bezel-less screen, even before Apple came up with its notched iPhone X. With the launch of Mi Mix Alpha, the brand is pushing the boundaries of phone screens to an all-new level. The new Mix Alpha will be the successor to its flagship phone Mi Mix 3. The phone is nothing short of impressive and is a perfect display of the brand’s imagination for the future. Alpha is an extraordinary device loaded with unmatched configurations. Futuristic Design

At a glance, Xiaomi Mi Mix alpha looks like a stunning smartphone and we can be pretty sure that the brand has put great attention to the designing of the phone. The screen on Alpha wraps entirely around the device, while status icons like network signal and battery charge level are displayed on the side. The phone is built off from ceramic and polished aluminium, giving a sensational view. 

Surround Display

Xiaomi has equipped its new Mi Mix Alpha with an innovative screen called Surround Display, which extends from front to back. The phone sports 7.92-inch display with a resolution of 2088 X2250 pixels. Except for the small camera at the back, the screen wraps around its entire body offering an immersive experience to the users. Its screen-to-body ratio reaches more than 180.6%.

World’s first 108 MP Camera

Mi Mix Alpha is the first phone to feature Samsung HMX 108-megapixel sensor, co-developed with Xiaomi. The new sensor is capable of outputting 12032 x 9024-pixel resolution images. It is coupled with 20MP ultra-wide-angle camera lens and a 12MP telephoto camera for clicking portraits shots. You will also find an LED flash which enables you to click photos in low-light situations.

In case, you are wondering where is the selfie camera, then the phone doesn’t have one. This futuristic phone allows you to take selfies with its main cameras and dual-tone flash. The users will simply have to turn the phone around and start the camera app. The rear display will change automatically to selfie mode and all the options you need.

Performance

On the performance front, Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is loaded with the newest and the highest level of technology. The handset is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor. It supports 5G as well. The phone is backed by 12GB of RAM combined with 512 GB of internal UFS 3.0 storage. Mi Mix Alpha runs on MIUI Alpha based on Android.

Battery and Connectivity

Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha will run on a 4050mAh battery with 40W fast charging support.  Alpha is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts nano SIM cards.

Price and Release Date

The lowest price of Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha in India is expected to be Rs 1,99,990. This is for the 512 GB+12GB variant. The phone is expected to launch on 18th December 2019.
