For the Indian bike enthusiasts, BMW Motorrad had launched its flagship bike S 1000 R, way back in 2019. The luxury German automaker recently unveiled the ‘M’ version of 1000 R. In addition to its higher price; the BMW M 1000 RR boasts many upgrades over the S model.
But – which one is better? Here is a comparison of BMW M 1000RR vs BMW S 1000 RR to give you some perspective.
Both the BMW superbikesare powered by a 999 cc petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The four-cylinder engine of the BMW M 1000 RR can churn out a max power of 212.1 PS, while the S 1000 RR produces 206.6 @13,500 rpm.
The increased output of the former is due to its lightweight exhaust system, enhanced compression, and revised internals. Both the models can achieve a max torque of 113 Nm @11,000 rpm.
At a glance, both the BMW bikes may look similar. Still, the M 1000 RR offers more appealing graphics and exterior. Both rides have dual ABS, double disc brakes, LED taillights and a lot more features.
