After becoming a top seller of smartphones in India, Xiaomi is now gearing up to expand its footprint in televisions. At a recent event held in Bengaluru, the Chinese brand announced four new models to its Mi smart TV line-up. All four models share similar configurations but differ in size and display. Of these, the 65-inch model is the biggest ever Xiaomi TV to launch in the country. Mi delivers high configurations at an attractive price and gives a tough competition to the recently launched Motorola smart TV. Here’s everything you need to know.

Design

Mi TV 4X sets a new standard of design with its gorgeous texture and the perfect combination of a metal and glass body. The metallic gradient finish makes it a true stunner. The TV sports a sleek design with ultra-slim bezels on the sides for an enhanced viewing experience. The new 65-inch model is 40 per cent bigger than its predecessor, which sported a 55-inch screen.

Ultra-Bright Display

The new Mi 4X is the company’s most colourful TV ever. With a 10-bit panel, the TV can create up to 1.07 billion colours. Mi delivers a life-like and ultra-real viewing experience. The television is also equipped with a new technology called Vivid Picture Engine that delivers an exceptional colour quality and true-to-life picture. 

4K HDR

With a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, Mi TV flaunts a 4K HDR display. The TV delivers sharp images and promises an immersive display.

Patchwall 2.0

Mi 4X will run on Xiaomi’s proprietary OS Patchwall 2.0 based on Android 9.0. This new user-interface has a massive collection of 700,000+ hours of entertainment content like Netflix, Amazon prime, and YouTube, to keep your entire family entertained.

Powerful Audio

Xiaomi Mi 4X TV is equipped with Dolby Audio technology and DTS-HD sound support, for a fantastic cinematic experience. The TV features 20W of stereo speakers that deliver an unmatched audio experience. The TV offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 along with Standard HDMI and USB support.

Remote

The Mi remote connects to the TV via Bluetooth, so you don’t need to point it directly at the TV. In fact, you can also operate it from a different room. The remote also supports Google Assistant and runs on voice control.

Price and Release Date

The 65-inch variant of Mi TV 4X is priced at Rs 54,999. The TV will be available exclusively on the official Mi website and Flipkart from September 29, 2019.
