Apple iPad Mini 5 is Rumoured to be Launched by September 2019

One such upcoming release is the iPad Mini 5, scheduled to be launched sometime around September. Read on to find out its features and specifications.

Display

The iPad mini 5 has a 7.9-inch Retina display, making it Apple’s smallest tablet. It has a screen resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and a pixel density of 324 ppi. It has the newest True Tone display technology to optimize the white balance in ambient lighting and a 16M colour support spectrum to maintain the display’s vibrancy. 

The tablet is surrounded by thick bezels at the top and bottom but has slimmer bezels at the side. It is 6.1mm thick, with oleophobic coating around the glass for making it scratch-resistant. It has a Touch ID Home button for secure biometric authentication and a 3.5 mm headphone jack with two speakers for stereo sound. Moreover, it has dual microphones for active noise cancellation.

Camera

The iPad mini 5 has an 8-megapixel camera with a f/2.4 aperture and 1080p video recording. While the rear cameras have no rear flash, the 7-megapixel front-facing camera with a f/2.2 aperture is an improvement compared to its previous models.

Performance and Battery

The device is equipped with Apple’s latest A-series chip – an A12 Bionic chipset and runs on the iOS 12.1.3 operating system. It has a hexa-core CPU and a 4 core GPU that makes it 3x faster with 9x faster graphics.  It runs on a Li-Ion 5124 mAh battery that makes it last for the entire day.

Storage

The iPad mini 5 has an internal storage capacity of 64GB and 256 GB, both having a RAM of 3GB. It comes with a range of connectivity options like Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11ac, and Gigabit-class LTE (on cellular models only).

Price and Colour

The iPad has an Apple Pencil for convenient typing and comes in Silver, Gray, and Gold colour. It is priced around 400 dollars for the 64GB variant which translates to 28,680 INR and around 549 dollars for the 256 GB variant which comes to 39,000 INR.
