Chinese giant Xiaomi is hell-bent on sustaining its number one position in the Indian smartphone market. The company has recently confirmed the upcoming launch of Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 pro. With these newest entries to the family of Xiaomi’s successful note series, the company is all set to pose a serious threat to other established brands like Samsung and Apple. After all, such phones are known for their high-end specifications and hardware at affordable prices. So, let’s take a close look at everything that is known about Redmi Note 8 so far.

Camera

The most highlighted feature of Redmi Note 8 Pro is the quad-camera setup at the rear of the phone. The smartphone will boast of an impressive 64 megapixels ISOCELL GW1 primary sensor manufactured by Samsung. The exact details of the remaining sensors of the phone are still unknown but it is expected that the phone will sport three other rear cameras for wide-angle, telephoto and depth sensing. Moreover, there will be an upgraded 32 megapixels front camera for enhancing your selfies.

Design and Display

Redmi Note 8 Pro will have a design somewhat similar to its predecessor, note 7 Pro. On the front, there will be a waterdrop notch that will perfectly equip a selfie camera. Moreover, there will be a super responsive in-display fingerprint sensor for better security. Moving to the back, the three cameras will be perfectly aligned while the fourth camera will sit on the right side of the triple camera module. Redmi Note 8 Pro will flaunt a massive 6.39inches super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,340.

Performance

Talking about an equally important specification, according to some reports, Redmi Note 8 Pro will be powered with the latest Helio G90T processor chipset from MediaTek. The chipset is perfectly designed for an incredible gaming experience. The hyper-engine technology allows you to play high graphic games like PUBG, KOG without any interruptions. Furthermore, Redmi note 8 Pro will run on MIUI 11 based on Android 9 pie.

Battery

Redmi Note 8 Pro will be powered by a Li-Polymer battery of 4,000 mAh which makes it long-lasting. The best part is that it supports 18W charger which refills 50 percent of its dead battery in half an hour. The phone can easily stand 13 hours of video playback or seven hours of gaming. Moreover, like all mid-range phones, Redmi too will have a USB type-C charger, a 3.5mm audio jack and two SIM card slots supporting 4G VoLTE network.

Price

Keeping with its note series tradition, the price of Redmi Note 8 Pro is expected to be Rs 14,000 for the base variant and Rs 17,000 Rs for the higher variant in India.
