This year, the WPL witnessed 164 players registering themselves for the league, with 104 belonging to India and 61 from overseas, 15 of whom are from associate nations.
The 2024 WPL was kicked off at Bangalore on February 23rd, with reigning champions Mumbai Indians back on the turf facing off Delhi Capitals. The former won the match by four wickets.
And their winning streak went on as they emerged winners against Gujarat Giants on 25th Feb, where they won by five wickets. This WPL MI squad is off to a striking start and, no doubt, has become a formidable foe to the other four teams.
