Over the years, Samsung has done well for itself in the world of gadgets and electronics to emerge as one of the most preferred brands for customers all over the world. Now, it has just launched a brand new smartwatch – the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2.

Perfection in design enhanced by choices galore

Samsung has outdone itself in the design department this time around. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 is a gorgeous smartwatch that exudes style and elegance in abundance. With a big, round dial that provides maximum screen space, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 comes in two size variants – a 40mm option with a 1.2inch Super AMOLED display and a 44mm one with a bigger 1.4inch Super AMOLED display.

Both variants are protected by Gorilla DX+ Glass which makes the smartwatch an able companion for rigorous outdoor activities. As with all AMOLED displays by Samsung, the one on this smartwatch is also clear, crisp and vibrant. Of course, the display is customizable with hundreds of watch faces to choose from.

Samsung wants customers to be spoilt for choice when it comes to materials too. The standard aluminium build will be fine for most, but there is also a pricier stainless steel model available for enthusiasts. You can add a further touch of personalization with interchangeable straps available in various colours.

A performance beast loaded with features

Under its hood, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 runs on an Exynos 9110 dual-core chipset clocked at 1.15Ghz. The Bluetooth model of the smartwatch comes with 768MB of RAM whereas the LTE variant upgrades the RAM to 1.5GB. Both have an internal storage capacity of 4GB. The phone runs on Samsung’s Tizen OS 4.0 that supports both, Android apps as well as iOS apps. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is also IP68-rated for water and dust resistance.

The stunning display we have already talked about has two unique features that users will love. Firstly, you have the option to have an always-on display if you so desire, but you can also save some battery by keeping the display off until you raise your wrist. Secondly, and more importantly, the display features a digital touch bezel that you can use for quick control. This makes navigating through apps and widgets a breeze.

The smartwatch is loaded with features like a heart rate and stress level monitor, a sleep tracker and an automatic workout tracker that tracks various activities such as walking, running, cycling, swimming, and more.

Price 

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 starts at an asking price of Rs. 26,990 for the base aluminium model and goes up to Rs. 30,990 for the bigger, stainless steel LTE model.
