Motorola Edge Plus with 12 GB RAM and 6.53 inches Display Launching Soon

After a spectacularly unbeaten run in 2019, Motorola is set to launch its latest flagship, Motorola Edge Plus, in the year 2020. It will be unveiled in the upcoming Mobile World Congress, and quite a good idea about its probable features are available on the internet. Let’s have a look.

Processor and performance

The performance of the device will get a boost by its Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with an Octa-core processor paired with 12 GB RAM. A higher number of tasks can be performed in tandem without delaying the user interface. 5G is the buzzword this year, and the phone is sure to support the speed of this network. The phone is also expected to operate on Android 10 OS and come with a 5170 mAh battery, providing power backup for over a day. However, there has been no talk about the fast charging output.

Display

The most remarkable feature on Edge Plus is going to be its curved screen, which will wrap around the edges. However, the slope towards the edges are gentle, and to offer better functionality, it will not compromise on the space for physical volume buttons. The screen size is going to be at least 6.53 inches with a bezel-less full HD+ display of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Browsing the net, reading, or watching movies will be less strenuous.

Camera

The phone will boast of triple primary rear cameras with 48 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP, LED flash, telephoto lens, and 3x optical zoom capacities. It will enhance blur and zoom effect and enable wide-angle pictures with a better resolution. Advanced camera features will include Auto Flash, Face detection, and Digital Zoom. Edge Plus will replace the need for separate digital cameras wherever you want to shoot and capture memories. A cutout at the top left corner of the screen will house the hole-punch design 20 MP selfie camera. 

Storage and other features

A large amount of data can be stored internally with an enormous capacity of 256 GB storage that is rumored to be expandable up to 1TB. Other features at a glance:

  • The flagship phone will come packed with IP68 water and dust certification. 
  • Biometric authentication will be supported by fingerprint sensors. 
  • For gamers, the device will come with Moto Gametime that allows blocking notifications while playing games and helps set up gaming session shortcuts. 
  • For improved user experience, the Moto Audio will automatically fine-tune the output volume to the type of content being played. 
  • Double SIM support and 3.5 mm Audio Jack are fully expected.

Price and release date

It is expected that the premium phone will come with a price tag of around Rs 48,990 and is slated to be launched on February 23, 2020.
