Tecno Camon 15 and Camon 15 Pro Launched in India

Camon 15 and Camon 15 Pro, the latest offerings from the Chinese tech giant Tecno are giving stiff competition to the mid-range phones in the Indian market. Packed with some spectacular features, the phones are the foremost models to feature 48 MP quad cameras in their price range. Here is a look at some of the amazing specifications that these devices bring to the budget phone lineups in India.

Camera

The unique feature that Tecno offers is the pop-up camera mechanism for the selfie-shooter in Camon 15 Pro. The selfie camera also offers a massive 32 MP resolution for vibrant pictures and is driven by artificial intelligence technology. Accuracy in colours and detailing of the selfies are a major plus-point of the phone. Camon 15 features a hole-punch 16 MP AI selfie camera.

The rear camera in both versions is a 48 MP quad pack with AI-driven features, autofocus, and ultra night lens. Macro photography, backlight display portraits, and AI-powered body-shaping technologies are some of the novel features that are on offer. Camon 15 Pro has a wide-angle 5MP camera offering a field view of 115 degrees, a QVGA sensor, and another 2MP camera.

Display

Tecno Camon 15 comes with a comfortable 6.55-inch screen with HD + Dot-in display. Camon 15 Pro sports a 6.53-inch screen that comes with an IPS LCD and a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels for sharp images and an enhanced viewing experience. The screen-to-body ratio is a considerable 91.2%.

Processor

Performance of both the phones is at par, if not more advanced than most of their contemporaries. Camon 15 Pro has an Octa-core Cortex A53 processor with a 2.3 GHz frequency. The Pro model is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor paired with a 6 GB RAM, making multitasking a breeze. It runs on Android 10 with a HiOS skin on top and offers a smooth user interface. Camon 15 also has the Android 10 OS with the HiOS 6.1 custom skin and a 4 GB RAM.

Battery 

A 4000 non-removable mAh battery powers Camon 15 Pro. Camon 15 comes with a bigger 5000 mAh battery equipped with a ’safe charge’ feature as per the manufacturers. 

Storage and other features

Camon 15 Pro comes with 128 GB of onboard storage that is expandable up to 256 GB with a dedicated microSD slot. Camon 15 has an in-built storage capacity of 64 GB that can be expanded to 256 GB via microSD cards. Both the models support 4G connectivity and have fingerprint sensors at the rear that have a protective oil-repelling coating. The two handsets also offer a face unlock feature for security.

Price and availability

Camon 15 is available in attractive colours like, fascinating purple, shoal gold, and dark jade, and is priced at Rs 9,999. Camon 15 Pro is available in ice jadeite and opal and is available for Rs 14,999. The devices will be put sale online and or sold via authorized retail outlets from 25th February 2020.
