With top celebrities endorsing the brand, Vivo has become a household name. The Chinese mobile phone manufacturer is all set to launch its latest semi-flagship smartphone, Vivo Z6 5G, in the home market on 29th February 2020. Ever since the official announcement, teasers about the phone specifications have been doing the rounds on the internet. Here’s all you need to know about the phone:

Processor

Vivo Z6 runs on Android 10 with Funtouch OS 10 layered on top. The device also has the latest Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC coupled with a 6 GB RAM and a fully-integrated 5G compatible modem. Thus, the phone is future-ready, with capabilities to support the 5G speed. An 8GB RAM variant is on the cards too.

Display and Storage

The upcoming Vivo Z6 is expected to come with an expansive 6.57-inch FullHD+ LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 × 2080 pixels offering excellent viewing experience. The bezel-less display panel presents a sleek aspect ratio of 20:9. Reports suggest that the phone will come in three UFS 2.1 storage variants, 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB.

Camera

Vivo Z6 5G is expected to sport a quad-cam setup at the rear, offering superior picture quality. It is projected to comprise a 48 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle secondary snapper, a 2MP macro lens, and another 2MP depth sensor. The front camera will be housed in a circular notch at the top right corner of the screen and have a capacity of 16MP, making sure you can click the sharpest selfies with optimal colors.

Connectivity

The connectivity feature in Vivo Z6 is quite striking. The phone comes with a dual-sim 4G + 5G system, including SA and NSA. It employs artificial intelligence to change from 5G to 4G seamlessly, and, thus, you can always be sure of smooth connectivity.

It is also equipped with a dual-Wi-Fi acceleration technology that can connect simultaneously to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi signals, ensuring a stable network connection. The integrated SLA network acceleration couples 5G with dual-channel Wi-Fi speed acceleration to amp up the network speed.

Gaming support

Vivo Z6 targets gamers with its Multi Turbo 3.0 acceleration technology. A PC grade liquid cooling tube along with a multi-layered graphite sink to fence in heat successfully prevents over-heating during long hours of gaming. The cooling system is expected to lower temperatures by up to 10 degrees Celsius.

Battery and other features

Fueled by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging tech via USB Type-C port, battery power will not be an issue for Vivo Z6 5G users. The phone will be lightweight at 201 grams. It will come in three color options, Aurora Black, Ice Age, and Interstellar Silver. The phone also features a fingerprint sensor at the rear for secure unlocking.
