Motorola unveils the all-new Moto E6s with 6.1″ HD screen

Motorola has announced the imminent launch of the all-new Moto E6s, an entry-level smartphone in the mid-range segment. The new device is likely to sport an attractive price tag and is expected to be value for money. Consumer durable loans from Tata Capital will ease the buying process even further. Design

Moto E6s has a plastic body with curved corners and contemporary appeal. The phone features a water-repelling capacity to protect the internal electronics from water damage. The dimensions measure 155.6mmx73mmx8.5mm. The back has an attractive color gradient with a fingerprint sensor in the upper middle section, disguised as the Motorola logo “M.” The wide lower bezel makes the screen-to-body ratio 87.5 percent.

Processor and memory

The all-new Moto E6s is powered by Mediatek Helio P22 chipset with an octa-core ARM-Cortex-A53 CPU that clocks a frequency of 2GHz. The CPU is coupled with a modest 2GB RAM, but the memory is expandable. The phone comes with 32 GB of internal storage, which too can be expanded up to 256GM via MicroSD card slots. The UI used on the phone is Android 9.0 Pie. 

Display

The expansive 6.1-inch IPS LCD MaxVIsion screen is quite remarkable, given the phone’s price range. The aspect ratio is a tall 19.5:9, offering optimum viewing comfort while watching videos or browsing the internet. The HD+ 1520X720 resolution presents decent image quality. A large screen size also means a bigger viewfinder for the camera and ease of performing tasks on the phone.

Camera

Moto E6s does not disappoint as far as the optics are concerned. This is because it boasts of a dual-camera setup with a 13MP primary rear camera having autofocus and f/2.2 lens. The secondary 2MP depth sensor offers bokeh shots and background-blur effect. The phone has an LED flash and can record HD quality video at 30 frames per second. In the front, the phone features a 5MP selfie shooter housed in a water-drop notch. If you want to get the best selfies, apply for a consumer durable loan and buy this marvel.

Connectivity

Standard connectivity features like GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 4G LTE, 2.4 GHz Bluetooth 4.2, MicroUSB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are provided. Also, the phone comes with dual-Nano-SIM card slots. However, the it lacks NFC.

Battery

The 3000 mAh battery can last 24 hours when fully charged once. The battery is removable, and you can replace it when it runs out of power, if you carry a spare charged battery with you. You can charge the phone with a 5-Watt charger through the USB 2.0 port. USB-C is not present in the device.

Price and availability

On March 18, 2020, Motorola announced that the all-new Moto E6s will be available in the coming weeks in turquoise blue and sunrise red color options. It is expected to be priced at USD 95 (INR 7056).
