Realme, the offspring of the Chinese brand OPPO, announced its new smartphone X50m on Thursday. Realme which entered the top 10 global smartphone brands for the first time in 2019 has already launched more than a dozen aggressively priced phones, all within one and a half year of its establishment. With the brand offering fine smartphones at sweet spot pricing, the new launch is highly desired.

Competitive size, display and features

The new Realme X50m looks similar to Realme 6 and retains the gradient back design. It measures 163.8 x 75.8 x 8.9mm and approximately weighs 192 grams. The display of X50m is highly competitive with a 6.5inch full HD + 1080*2400 pixel resolution. It also has a refresh rate of 120Hz, which is at par with some of the leading high-end smartphones. Moreover, it offers a stunning 90.4 per cent screen-to-body ratio and an aspect ratio of 20:9.

Realme X50m Camera

The latest Realme device runs on Android 10 and offers a fingerprint sensor, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and Type-C USB. It has Dolby audio integration, Hi-resolution Audio, and dual microphones. Such astounding features at an affordable price are surely a great deal.

Powerful processor and fair storage

Talking about the processor, Realme X50m is powered by 2.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC which has an integrated 5G modem and is based on a 7nm process. This allows uninterrupted and smooth functioning and gaming. Even though it is less powerful than a few other smartphones, the performance will not disappoint. On the storage front, Realme X50m performs fairly with 6GB RAM + 128GB and 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage.

Strong battery, marvel camera and colors

Realme X50m comes with a power-pack of 4, 200 mAh and allows 30W SuperDart fast charging; 70% in just 30 minutes. The camera sports a quad set-up with a 48MP (f/1.8) primary lens, an 8MP (f/2.3) wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4). For flawless selfies and video callings, there is a 16MP (f/2.0) front lens, along with a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. The phone is available in starry blue and galaxy white colours.

Realme X50m Camera

Price and availability

Realme X50m has been launched in China and is up for pre-orders; the official sale will begin from April 29. The base model (6GB RAM + 128GB storage) is priced at CNY 1,999 (approx INR 21,500), whereas the top model is available for CNY 2,299 (approx INR 25,000). No details about the Indian or the global launch have been disclosed by the company yet.
