Honor Expected to Launch Honor X10 5G on May 20. Details Inside

Barely after a few days of announcing its budget smartphone 9A, Honor has confirmed the release date for X10, which was announced earlier last month. The new 5G smartphone is set to hit the retail shelves on May 20 and is expected to pick up sales soon. The brand launched a teaser of the new device on the micro-blogging site Weibo and it does look worth the money!

Here is all you need to know about Honor X10 5G:

Appearance and display 

The phone is very attractive and sleek with barely an 8.8mm thickness. It sports a stunning 6.63-inch wide IPS LCD (1080*2400 pixels) with complete HD resolution and a great refresh rate of 120Hz. Time to say hello to a clear, smooth and long screen-time! Also, as reported, the new device by Honor will come with a pop-up selfie camera instead of the punch-hole or a waterdrop notch setup. This smart move by the company might help to attract more consumers towards Honor X10.

Processor and memory

At its core, the phone will be supported by the Kirin 820 SoC 5G processor, with three different RAM and storage configurations namely 4GB RAM + 62GB, 6GB RAM + 128GB, and 8GB +256GB internal storage. No details about its expandable memory capacity are known yet, though with Honor 9A offering 512GB of expandable memory, it is highly likely that X10 will meet the set standard. To focus on the software front, X10 functions on Android 10 paired with OS, along with EMUI skin. More details of the chipset and other features are likely to surface in the near-to-launch days.

Camera and battery

Honor X10 is set to come with a triple-camera set up comprising a 40MP Sony IMX600y primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and another 2MP depth sensor for perfect-finish photos. On the front camera, there is a marvelous 16MP lens for selfies and video calling. All of this will be supported by a battery pack of 4,200mAh with 22.5W fast-charging feature. Though the battery power is quite standard, given the budget price, it does fair well.

Pricing and availability

No details about the price of the new smartphone are known yet. However, per the estimates, Honor X10 5G is expected to be offered to the Indian consumers at Rs 21,500. More information about the price and complete availability of the smartphone is likely to be shared by the Huawei e-brand on the launch event of May 20th.
