All fitness enthusiasts keep an eye on June 3, 2020, because Amazefit Bip S with an advanced revolutionary personal activity indicator and 30-day strong battery life is making an entry in the Indian market. The fitness watch was first introduced by Amazfit in the 2020 International CES, raising expectations of the consumers. After a rather long wait, Amazfit Bip S is now set to hit the retail shelves.

Appearance and display

The new fitness band by Amazfit is 42×35.3×11.4mm in size, has a rectangular dial and is extremely lightweight, with only 31 grams (with strap) and 19 grams (without strap). This will help users track their workout sessions without being hassled by the watch. The watch has a 1.28-inch wide (176 x 176 pixels) Transreflective Colour TFT display, with an Always-on display feature. This will allow consumers to take a glance at the details such as time, date, steps, calories burnt, and other physical stats, without disturbing their physical activity session. Furthermore, the screen is protected by a strong 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with anti-fingerprint coating.

Modes and tracking

It allows 10 sports modes as per user preference including a treadmill, indoor running, cycling, walking, yoga, outdoor running, swimming, etc. Mentioning about its advanced tracking, Amazfit is configured with an optical heart rate sensor, Tri-axis Accelerometer and Tri-axis Gyro. Additionally, the watch also offers Huami-PAI health metrics to provide the much-desired insights into how physical activity is contributing to the overall health of the user.

Compatibility, battery and control

The watch is compatible with both Android and iOS devices and allows for notifications on calls, messages, emails, etc. It also permits users to control the music in terms of pausing, skipping, managing volume, etc. On the battery front, Amazfit has outdone its competitors by claiming that the new Amazfit Bip S will provide 30-day long interrupted 200mAh battery life on a single charge. Now that is something which will make the other brands run for their money.

Pricing, availability and other features

Amazfit Bip S is water-resistant up to 50 meters and comes with Bluetooth 4.2 and built-in GPS + GLONASS for better connectivity and route tracking. Globally, the device is being sold at $69.90 (approximately INR 5,300), and hence, it is expected that the Indian version will be priced at the same bar. It is available in four strap colours including carbon black, red orange, warm pink and white rock. Amazfit Bip S is expected to go live for sale in India on June 3 and it is highly likely that the watch will capture the market in no time.
