Vivo’s customer base has had many reasons to be loyal to Vivo. Their trendy designs and innovative products keep Vivo ahead of the game. Vivo has launched an array of smartphones, but this time it has outdone itself and will reportedly launch what is known as the first 5G phone in India- the iQOO Plus 5G; also known as the Vivo iQOO Pro 5G. For now, it is known that the phone supports 4G network and the company states that 5G will be introduced when the Indian market is ready. It has chosen the month of August for its launch and has released the phone’s features and specifications. Here’s a look at what the phone has to offer:

Performance and Battery

The Vivo iQOO Plus 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset and runs on the Octa-core processor which is a combination of a single core Kryo 485 + 2.42 GHz processor, a Tri core Kryo 485 + 1.8 GHz processor and a Quad-core Kryo 485 processor. It operates on the Android v9.0 (Pie) and is equipped with flawless graphics of Adreno 640. The phone has RAM of 8 GB and internal memory capacity of 128 GB that is expandable to 256 GB. The capacity of its battery is 4500 mAH and is of the LI-ion type. Type C USB provides for fast charging.

Display and Camera

The phone has a screen size of 6.41 inches and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The display is of the Super AMOLED type and the edges are bezel-less with a waterdrop notch and has a pixel density of 402 PPI. The screen is multi-touch and there is a fingerprint sensor at the back. The phone has triple primary cameras, a combination of two 13 MP cameras and one 2 MP camera. The image resolution of 4128 x 3096 Pixels captures stunning photos and the inbuilt camera modes beautifully enhance them. The front camera has a crystal-clear resolution of 16 MP.

Connectivity and Price

The phone supports 2G-4G networks and dual sim. It has the basic network features like Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth v 5.0, A-GPS and strong Volte connectivity for interruption-free talk-time. Additional features include an audio jack of 3.5 mm and extra sensors like the Light sensor, Proximity sensor, and Accelerometer. The Vivo iQOO 5G is priced at Rs 44,990 and will be available in Black and gold colours.

The phone may be pricey but is value for money. It is a great buy and is more of a sensible investment than an expensive luxury. The smartphone launch is not far away, and chances are that the model will sell out due to the early buzz of anticipation.
