Off late, there has been a lot of hype surrounding foldable phones. Several mobile companies are in the race for becoming the best foldable smartphone seller, and Motorola is finally one of them. The American company is trying to revive its Razr flip phone launched in 2004 and reclaim its popularity through the launch of the futuristic foldable smartphone- Moto Razr.

Design

Motorola Razr will come with a folding screen which will be the phone’s unique selling point. The phone will fold out like a smartphone, and when folded up, it will look more like a compact flip phone based on the iconic Razr launched more than a decade ago. Rumour has it that Razr will have a hinge design similar to the one seen in Samsung Galaxy Fold. The high polish metal and glass body of Razr will set a new standard for smartphone designs.

Display

Moving on to the display, the new Motorola Razr smartphone will have a dual screen. It will sport a 2.2-inch screen on the outside for displaying notifications. It will also have a wide 6.20-inches screen on the inside with a screen resolution of 876 x 2142 pixels. Such specifications are bound to enhance your viewing experience.

Performance

In terms of hardware, Motorola Razr will run on the QUALCOMM snapdragon 710 chipset, found in most mid-range smartphones. The phone is likely to come in two variants – 4GB Ram with 64 GB memory and 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage. Moreover, with the memory card slot, users can expand the phone’s memory up to 256 GB. So, rest assured, there is enough room for all your favourite songs, photographs and movies. In terms of software, Razor will run on the latest android 9 pie.

Battery

Motorola Razr will come with a non-removable Li-Po battery capacity of 2730 mAh, which is significantly lesser than Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X, though. However, considering the small size of the phone, the battery can easily last for almost a day with a single charge. Also, with the 27W super turbocharger, the phone takes only two hours to charge from zero to hundred percent without any signs of heating.

Connectivity

Motorola Razr will be loaded with smart connectivity features including Wi-fi, GPS, Type-C cable and the latest Bluetooth version 5.

Price and Release date

Motorola Razr is a flagship devise with great built and decent features. The phone is expected to cost around Rs 69,990 Rs in India. That may be a lot, but let’s not forget its foldable feature. Although, there are no official announcements from Motorola’s side about the launch date of the phone, there are chances that the phone would launch in India in coming October.
