Zhao Ming, the president of one of China’s most popular smartphone brand, Honor, recently confirmed that the company is all set to launch their new marvel, Honor V30 (View 30). V30 will be the company’s first-ever 5G-enabled handset. Although detailed specifications of the device are not yet known, V30 is likely to give tough competition to its predecessor, V20. How does Honor V30 improve over Honor V20 and will it be worth the price? Let’s answer that as we take a closer look at the soon to be launched smartphone.

Camera

Honor V30 has a similar camera setup like V20 but with some new features. Besides Sony’s IMX586 48MP primary sensor, there is an 8-megapixel super wide-angle camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Honor V30 is equipped with the night mode feature for clear and bright photos in low light. The phone’s portrait mode is also great and offers good subject separation. With a 25 megapixels selfie camera, coupled with the Bokeh effect and PDAF autofocus feature, your selfie game can be stronger than ever!

Software and Performance

Honor V30 is expected to run on Magic UI 2.1 based on Android 9 pie. Also, it is expected to be powered by the company’s own flagship Kirin processor for a powerful performance. The Kirin 990 is a modem processor, powered by 7nm technology and processed by TSMC, which makes it extremely efficient. This will be the most powerful Kirin processor you can get in 2019.

Honor V30 has a massive internal storage of 128 GB. However, there is no scope for memory expansion via a microSD card.

Design

V30 comes with a lovely shiny finish and a light special effect which makes it shine under light. The overall design of the phone is simple with very thin bezels. The in-screen camera hole offers more screen space and a full-view display. The brand has put in a lot of thought to its appearance. Truth be told, at first glance, V30 comes across to be a premium-range phone.

Display

Honor V30 comes with a big display of 6.24-inches with full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2310 pixels. The display looks sharp and vivid, and thanks to the various customization options, you can manually adjust it to your liking. Another great feature is the adaptive brightness option that automatically adjusts your phone’s brightness levels according to the environment around you.

Battery

Honor V30 is expected to come with a 4100 mAh battery. V30 also supports a super-fast 22.5W charger that can refuel your phone up to 50% in just 30 minutes.

Price and Release Date

Honor V30 is likely to launch in China first, followed by a global release. In India, the phone is expected to launch on 4 October 2019, at Rs. 39,990.
