Not long ago, Huawei launched the Matepad 10.4, a premium tablet with high-end features. Following its release, the company has added another model to its Matepad series. The MatePad T8 is a compact sized tablet and is affordably priced for Huawei’s mid-range demographic. It packs a bunch of standard but dependable features and considering its price, the Matepad T8 is a steal. Moreover, unlike other tablets, the T8 is pocket sized and easily portable. The Matepad T8 has an 8 inch HD + LCD display with a standard screen resolution of 1200 x 800 pixels. It has a screen to body ratio of 80% and weighs around 310g. Powered by the Media Tek MT8768 octa-core chipset, the Matepad T8 has one of the best processors. Also, the tablet runs on the EMUI 10.0.1 Android 10 version. It has a basic RAM of 2 GB and ROM capacity of 32 GB. However, with the help of a micro SD card, its storage capacity can be expanded up to 512 GB. Thus, you can store multitudes of data and experience lag free functioning.

The Matepad T8 has a battery capacity of 5100 mAh and supports 5W charging. While the battery size is impressive, the minimal charging capacity is quite disappointing. Still, the Matepad T8 gives about 12 hours’ worth of video playback and 12 hours streaming and surfing capacity. Additionally, it has a standard range of connectivity options including iLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11(2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, and GPS. It has a micro USB and a 3.5mm audio jack.

At the moment, the Matepad T8 is available in a single colour – the deep sea blue. There is no word about its release in the global market yet, except Romania, where the tablet is slated to release.
