OPPO is gearing up to release a brand-new flagship – OPPO Reno S – around the first week of December. This comes at a time when OPPO has already released the OPPO Reno Ace in China. The smartphone is yet to be launched in India, but according to the leaked sources, Reno S will beat Reno Ace’s features and will be pricier. While some of the phone’s features are yet to be released, we have received information on the phone’s processor, camera and expected price.

What is the processor going to be like?

According to reports, OPPO Reno S will be powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 or Snapdragon 855+ chipset. This Android processor is one of the best-known processors for enhancing smartphone performance to another level and making multitasking and gaming easier. The phone is also rumoured to have a 4000mAh battery. What’s more is that it will support OPPO’s trademark 65W VOOC 2.0 super-fast charging (Charge time of 30 minutes for a full life battery) that has been tested and received well in the OPPO Reno Ace series.

What? A 64 MP camera!

We have all heard about OPPO phones with 48MP cameras, even triple cameras for that matter, but now OPPO has decided to release OPPO Reno S with a 64MP main camera. The camera will be a combination of a 48MP primary sensor, and 13MP and 8MP secondary sensors. The camera is expected to be mostly a quad-camera. The image resolution still remains a mystery, and so does the megapixel count of the front camera. Well, we will just have to wait and see, right? We’re pretty excited about the inbuilt camera features though since OPPO is known to be one of the best camera phones in the market.

What is the smartphone’s expected price?

Sources speculate that OPPO Reno S will be priced somewhere around Rs 40,000. This will be the most expensive OPPO flagship in the country, but with more than 17 million global users, we expect the phone to sell out as soon as it hits the market. Additionally, the phone is rumoured to imitate the shark-fin design of OPPO Reno 2/Reno 10x. The rest of the phone’s features remain undisclosed and so does the exact release date.

OPPO Reno S is estimated to be one of the most premium offerings set to release before the end of the year. The company is ready for the grand release of several of its flagships, and OPPO loyalists are eagerly awaiting the scheduled launches.
