Recently, Xiaomi indicated that it is about to release Xiaomi Black Shark, sometime in August. Several of the phone’s features and specifications have surfaced. Let’s take a look.

Display

Xiaomi Black Shark has an IPS LCD full HD+ display that measures 5.99 inches and has a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a pixel density of 403 PPI that offers a sharp and immersive viewing experience. The smartphone resembles a tablet, but it is sleeker and has rounded bezels. It has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the front for enhanced security and convenience.

Camera

The phone has two primary cameras – one having a lens of 12MP and the other, 20MP. The lenses are can capture clear images and have a resolution of 4,000 x 3,000 pixels. The front camera has a 20MP lens that clicks high-quality selfies. Both, the front and back camera can record up to 4K HD videos at 30fps speed. Additional features like geo-tagging, digital zoom, auto and touch focus, face detection and multiple camera modes are inbuilt in the phone.

Processor

Xiaomi Black Shark is powered by two Kryo 385 quad-core processors with clock speeds of 2.8GHz and 1.8GHz and runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. Moreover, it runs on the Android v8.1 (Oreo) Operating system. The device has a RAM of 6GB that makes multiple task performance easy. An Adreno 630 GPU takes care of the high-graphic games.

Battery

The device is powered by a 4,000mAh Li-ion battery, which provides battery backup for an entire day without charging. When it comes to charging, the USB Type-C port makes for quick-charging. The phone offers several connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS. It has several sensors inbuilt including the Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Compass, and Gyroscope.

Other features

The device is a dual sim and has a storage capacity of 64GB and 128 GB, which is not expandable. The official price of the phone hasn’t been released yet but rumours indicate that it will be on sale online and offline at around Rs 30,990. The device will be available in two colours only – Polar Night and Sky Grey.
