Xiaomi is not stopping for anything in the world, the Chinese tech giant has been making the most of this time with its stellar back-to-back launches. Giving some of the big tech brands a run for their money, Xiaomi has now announced that alongside the launch of Mi 10 on May 8, the brand will also introduce its first true wireless earphones in India. The new set will offer competitive design, enhanced connection, low latency audio and wireless charging support.

As per Xiaomi’s Twitter teaser, the earphones will be similar to the Apple AirPods in terms of the design and weight, assuring extreme comfort and an easy fit in the ear canal. The first true wireless earphones by Xiaomi feature a Bluetooth 5.0 support, 14.2mm drivers, touch gestures, along with Google Assistant and Siri. The brand has managed to excite consumers for the ear pods by offering incredible sound quality through the LHDC (Low-latency and high-definition audio) feature.

Coming from Xiaomi, the earphones have a massive battery power with fast-charging, which will last for more than 4 hours without the magnetic charging case and 14-hours with the case. The earplugs will also have volume and track touch controls, along with a Dual microphone allowing noise cancellation. There is more, the wireless plugs are also configured intelligently to pause when they are removed. With such astounding features, the new earphones might soon capture a good share of the market.

Availability

Currently, Xiaomi sells Mi true wireless earphones across the Chinese and European markets. However, in India, the launch will be a first by the brand, but it is expected that the product will be in line with its global counterparts – Mi True Wireless Earphones 2. Beating the competitors with a fine edge, the tech brand is all set to launch three devices including Mi 10, wireless earphones and Mi Box (a set-top cum smart streaming box) on May 8. The cost of the wireless earphones remains unknown. But going per the European and Chinese versions of the product, the pricing is expected to be in the range of Rs 5,000-7,000. Currently, in Europe, the earphones are priced at €79.99, whereas in China, these are available for 399 Yuan. If the earphones enter the Indian market within this range, Xiaomi will definitely trigger a strong wave of competition.
