There are certain India-to-Dubai travel guidelines from India that you need to follow. Only individuals from the following categories are presently allowed to enter Dubai:

  • UAE golden visa holders
  • Indian diplomats and officials
  • UAE citizens and resident visa holders
  • Passengers granted special permission to enter UAE
  • Passengers travelling for business

Travel requirements for Dubai for the above-mentioned categories of Indian passengers

You’re allowed to enter as long as you’re vaccinated with two doses of any UAE-approved vaccine. Presently, the country accepts the following four vaccines:

  • Pfizer-BioNTech
  • Sinopharm
  • Oxford-AstraZeneca
  • Sputnik V

But those who are not vaccinated or have taken a single dose will need to produce a negative RT-PCR test report. They must take the test no later than 48 hours before departure to Dubai.

Besides, the airport authorities will only accept negative RT-PCR test reports from Indian labs that feature a unique Q.R. code linked to the original report. They will then conduct another RT-PCR test upon arrival.

You will need to sign an indemnity document for a mandatory 10-day home or hotel quarantine on arrival. During the quarantine period, you will get tested for COVID-19 on the 4th and the 8th day since your first negative test report at the airport.

Furthermore, all passengers from India must download the DXB COVID-19 app upon arrival and fill up a health declaration form provided on the platform.

With Dubai travel rules being relaxed, the city recently released travel requirements to India from Dubai for Indian passengers as well. It states that fully vaccinated passengers are exempt from RT-PCR testing prior to departure for India. However, they must upload the COVID-19 vaccination certificate in India on the Air Suvidha portal.

  • A recovery certificate with a QR code.
  • Valid negative covid-19 PCR test report.

Tips to make your Dubai travel safer

While many of the UAE imposed restrictions automatically ensure that you are vaccinated and under quarantine for a few days post-landing, here are a few add-on safety measures for self-regulation:

  • Greet people without any physical contact and maintain social distance at all times.
  • Carry a sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol and disinfect various surfaces like your seat, armrests, etc., with wipes before using them inside an aircraft.
  • Make sure to sanitise your mobile phone, watch, handbag, shades, etc., with wipes from time to time.
  • Wear a triple-layered face mask and shield when inside the aircraft and avoid physical contact with co-passengers. You can also wear a PPE kit while travelling.

And the most important tip is to follow the Dubai travel rules diligently.
